A friend from New Zealand came for dinner. We had not seen each other for a long time and there were many things to tell, including some bad experiences.
“Bureaucrats!” she called out with frustration talking about long waits for permits and pointed at the give the finger hanging on the wall. “Yes, that’s how I feel.”
She told us more anecdotes that ended with an appreciative glance at the finger.
The finger helps. It relieves. It does not hurt anybody (when hanging on the wall.)
